Samsung adapters that have earned the ENERGY STAR meet the strict energy-efficiency guidelines set by the US
Environmental Protection Agency. The products are identified by a special version of the ENERGY STAR label.
We also comply with the EU Code of Conduct on Efficiency of External Power Supplies, which the European
Commission developed for voluntary adoption by all parties.

Electrical products consume electricity when they are switched off but still plugged in, and this is called standby
power. Unplugging unused devices shuts off the flow of electricity.
To reduce power consumption, unplug the charger once your cell phone is fully charged; this is a practical way to
save energy and preserve the environment.
In order to minimize power consumption, our company makes cell phones that incorporate alerts to remind
people to unplug the charger once the battery is fully charged. We are also trying to develop adapters that are
highly energy efficient.

As part of Voluntary Agreement of European Commission IPP (Integrated Product Policy) pilot program,
Samsung Electronics has agreed to start using rating on energy consumption on the no-load mode of the mobile device charger.
